Oh no lol
Ngl I don’t think take out Machamp isn’t very good in this format because take out’s whole purpose in the 2009 to 2010 formats is to quickly evolve and take free prize cards on basic Pokemon in this format you can’t do that because rare candy doesn’t exist in this format
So I’ve narrowed it down to a few options base set/base set 2 Machamp expedition Machamp Machamp prime furious fists/generactions Machamp or champion’s path Machamp
In the format, there’s very few cards that can 1-shot a Pokemon with 130 HP, so the HP for this Machamp is good enough to tank at big attack and then dish up to 180 damage with Rage (or 200 with an item) making it one of the strongest attackers in the game. I don’t think that this particular Machamp’s strategy would be to knock out basics with Take Out, even though it would surely be able to. I’m trying to avoid big basics, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a few medium-sized basics that could still be knocked out with this attack. In fact, Mr. Mime, who I think would be a big threat in the format, could even be knocked out solely by the effect of the attack. All those thoughts have caused me to think I should leave it in.
Another update for my Legacy Select Format website:
- I added Type icons to the deck list for the starter decks
- I swapped in Neo Aerodactyl, Neo Omanyte, and removed Memory Capsule. I also swapped a few printings of cards just to make the website run better. (Promos mess up the website, sometime. So, Alolan Raichu was replaced with the identical non-Promo version, as an example.) I also swapped out Protection Orb for Weakness Policy. I hadn’t remembered that card and like it more considering Weakness Policy can work on any Pokemon.
- I updated all the starter decks to better reflect the updated card pool and added some adjustments since some of the starter decks were made several months ago. A simple example is Super Riptide (Feraligatr) now includes Parasect to stop yourself from shuffling the Water Energy cards from your Discard back into your deck, making this deck much stronger.
- When exporting/importing a deck, there is now a new format to match TCGOne and LimitlessTCG’s format. This means I can now copy/paste deck recipes and paste them into other sites.
- I added retcon support to help bring attention to updated texts to match how the card should be played, versus how it was originally designed/printed to be played. A good example is Gastly’s Pitch-Dark stopping the opponent from playing Item cards instead of Trainer cards, since “Trainer” cards of the time are equivalent to the modern Item cards.
- Unfortunately, this broke saving/recalling custom decks until I fix it. (There’s too much data that needs to be compressed to fit in the browser’s cookies!)
Here’s an updated alolan raticate slowking deck (now called rat king) https://files.catbox.moe/gurbye.png
I’m personally much happier with this list
This deck is incredible! I am hoping Alolan Raticate isn’t too overpowered, but if you have the right equipment, a single attack could deal 10 + 50 damage (tool) + 10 (belt) + 40 (4 Darkness Energy) = 110 damage! Hitting a Gengar for Weakness with the Super Effective Glasses would actually hit 300 damage. Luckily, not too many Pokemon are weak to Darkness, though.
I’m remaking bombs next
Here’s the updated bombs list https://files.catbox.moe/q0vgl1.png
Also about the take out Machamp rage is way to expensive to be worth it sure it hits like a truck but that’s it not to mention it needs damage counters on it to start ohko stuff and it’s Hp is low for a stage 2 so it is pretty easy to ko by stuff like yanmega prime it’s also slow being a stage 2
After thinking a lotore about it, I think swapping Machamp out for this one would be better:
It has more appropriate HP and the Attack can be 100, plus it can strengthen other Fighting-types, which are particularly weaker than other types, at the moment. In fact, one Machamp could strengthen a basic Machop, allowing it to hit 40 damage for a single Energy. I think that would work great. I’ll add it into the pool, soon.
Hey can you make it so you can import decks into the site from sites like limitless because limitless orders the cards differently to your site so you can’t actually transfer decks into the site (the order is Pokemon supporters item cards tools stadiums & energy)
From my tests, it seems like you can import them from Limitless as long as you remove the labels and empty text lines. Please post your decklist that you want to import so I can test it, for myself, please.
Ok got it
I wanna import the updated ray king and bombs decks lemme grab the other 3
Here’s Weezing mill https://files.catbox.moe/3937v9.png here’s noctowl lickilicky https://files.catbox.moe/zpktcd.png and here’s lanturn prime deluge https://files.catbox.moe/pctymq.png feel free to give me your thoughts on these decks & bombs
I mean to copy/past the text from the website so I can test with the exact text that you use.
