I am thinking about doing something similar, but listing the ink value of the cards that can be pulled from each pack. The idea is to figure out if one pack or another might yield more ink upon using mass dissolve to get rid of bulk.

I think you will quickly find that each pack distributes the same amount of ink after the opened cards are dissolved as to the best of my knowledge, the rarity of the cards opened is determined independently of the card set. Thus a common from gen 1 is worth the same as a common from E card and an original shiney charizard is worth the same as any other 720 ink card.
