Its been about a year since the last post here. This format is really fun and interesting and Ive read through all the articles years ago, I have several decklists, and would definitely be interested in playing. Anyone else interested? Maybe I’ll add this once the custom formats feature is out.
Im super interested in this format! would be awesome to have it here. Ive made about 8 decks within a month lmao, this IS the best way to play this game. would love to find a place to hold an event, maybe allow proxies too because of the vending and expensive cards…
How would you feel about participating in a webcam tournament for the format? Specifically the Hareruya2 variant? April 2026 | Base-Neo Point Buy (Hareruya2) | Limitless The Pokémon 1999 Discord server is finally hosting one, after nearly a year of webcam leagues for an English cards only format with nearly the same points! And while it’s officially a webcam event, players can agree to play their games in other ways, and most members of the server are open to playing on TCGONE!

A little late, but if you’re planning to do another tournament for this format, I would be down to participate, ideally if TCGONE is an option. I’ll message the server to see if we can get a tournament going for June.
@musgravite Joining the 1999 Discord server can help you figure out when people want to organize a Hareruya2 league or advocate for enough people to sign up for such a league for it to launch. In the mean time, leagues for our very similar English cards-only Hall of Fame variant launch basically every month. (https://pokemon1999.org)
Saw this comment while searching for the New Hall of Fame points list. Sorry for not replying sooner.
I see this custom format was published a few days ago by @musgravite. Is it equivalent?
@ admin For these Japanese formats (Hall of Fame, Suginami - What is Hall of Fame Format? : How retro Pokemon TCG is played in Japan. : Daydream Holic Night ), the best and most fun and unique decks use a lot of Promo cards that are still not implemented ( Search: set:unnumbered-promo-cards - TCG ONE If we can please get these Unnumbered Promo cards playable on TCG so we can use to play these formats to their potential. Also, pre-emptively wanted to share, when implementing ______’s Chansey, it should be programmed to be Owned by one of the Kanto Gym Leaders (& allow the use of all of the Gym Leaders trainers i.e. Brock/Misty/Blaine/Lt. Surge/Erika/Sabrina/Koga/Giovanni). But, it can only choose one Owner at a time, and only when it first comes into play. (i.e. if it gets scooped up or leaves play, it would prompt again for which Owner it belongs to (optional choice to make it Owned by a leader). This is how Japanese players have been playing it. See the card entry at 【ポケモンカード旧裏】旧裏環境カードランク No.102~No.121 : Daydream Holic Night
What percentage of these are still unimplemented?
95% - All of them still need to be implemented except Smoochum, Slowpoke, and Porygon Promo - those 3 are already done. Dark Venusaur and Dark Ivysaur are technically done too (functionally implemented, just need their original non E-card artwork). Of the 95 other remaining cards, a few of them received Pokemon Web reprints (like Diglett and Dugtrio and some others) which are functionally on the site already added recently for Unlimited format only, but not implemented in their Base-Neo era that they were originally designed and also missing their original non E-card artwork
This format is slightly different, intended to played with the Japanese-exclusive cards. Once all the remaining ones are implemented I will pay the subscription fee to make the format available to all players.
